FAQs

  • Q. When do you release new artworks?

We love new things, so we release a new work of art every week. The best way to keep up with all the great new pieces is to sign up to our email newsletter. You can choose to hear from us every week, or just once a month. We’d hate to bug you unnecessarily.

  • Q. How do you print your artworks?

We print our artworks on the very latest digital printers made by Epson. We tested a lot of printers before settling on these bad boys. They deliver vivid colours, a brilliant range of mid-tones, and also incredible tonal range in black-and-white works.

  • Q. What's the paper like?

We are paper nuts. And we can promise your artwork will feel as good as it looks. We use a fine art paper called German Etching, made by Hahnemuhle. It’s a thick (310gsm), textured paper with a matt finish. Warning, here comes the science bit: with its premium matt coating German Etching meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness. Which basically means it will make your art look awesome.

  • Q. Will my artwork fade?

We use archival-quality paper and inks. The archival life expectancy of our prints is 40 years in the daylight, 200 years in the dark. But we don’t think you’ll enjoy your art very much if you keep it under your bed.

  • Q. Will my print be signed?

We work with artists from around the world. But to ensure quality, we print all of our editions in one place. Rather than ship your print back to the artist to be signed, we have them sign a certificate of authenticity instead. This will be shipped with your artwork. Many of our customers like to attach this certificate to the backboard of the picture frame they’ve chosen for their piece.

  • Q. How long till I'll get my delivery?

We aim to have your order with you within 14 days. If we think there’s going to be a delay – we’ll let you know. It’s not your job to chase us.

  • Q. Can you mount or frame my art for me?

We’re hoping to offer a framing service in the future. But we’re not quite ready just yet. Instead, we will happily offer you advice as to which mount and frame might suit your artwork, and where you can go to get an affordable frame to match your affordable print. Just email us at clare@fifty50art.com
